Subramanian Swamy to file PIL in Chandigarh stalking case

New Delhi/Chandigarh, Aug 7 (IANS): BJP Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy on Monday said that he is going to file a public interest litigation (PIL) in the case of "attempted abduction of a IAS officer's daughter by two drunk goons" in Chandigarh.

"Police did a u-turn in the case. They booked the accused under a bailable offence and then let them go," Swamy told IANS.

"I will file a PIL with my associate lawyer A.P. Jagga in Chandigarh on attempted abduction of the IAS officer's daughter by two drunk goons. Why I am going to file the PIL is because this is a matter of women's rights and women's safety," he added.

Varnika Kundu, daughter of Haryana's Additional Chief Secretary V.S. Kundu, was allegedly stalked for nearly seven km by Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala's son Vikas Barala and his friend Ashish Kumar around midnight on August 4.

The 29-year-old was driving towards the adjoining Panchkula town when, according to her complaint, the two men followed her in their Tata Safari Storm SUV.

The Chandigarh Police on August 5 arrested Vikas and Ashish from the Housing Board light point and booked them under section 354 D (stalking a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

While the Chandigarh Police on Monday said that there were no CCTV footage of the incident as all the nine CCTV cameras along the route -- from Sector 7 to Housing Board traffic light point -- were found to be "non-functional", the Congress accused the Union Home Ministry of trying to protect the son of Haryana BJP President by diluting the charges.

There seems to be a change of heart in Mr Subramanian Swamy. Suprising that he is now targetting the BJP Chief's son in Haryana with his proposed PIL instead of being used and misused only for ploitical purposes. High time he uses his potential for such social causes in our country.

A big shame to all those who are celebrating Raksha bandhan to protect their sisters and are supporting these goons for just the sake of the party they support.

Why the opposition parties are not rising up to the occasion?. They should show support to the victim and pursue with legal action towards the accused. If things continue this way by giving a long and free leash to ruling BJP we will be chopping our own legs. Forget about Subramanyam Swamy, there is no aubdtance in his claim.

BJP is ruling both in Centre and in State. Now another BJP leader Swamy, who looses more cases than winning any, is filing a case against one of the BJP leaders son, who proved himself with his rowdy culture. The culprit already been awarded with immediate bail.

Ladies and Gentleman, your country is in danger of a virtual drama of progress, but in reality, it is biting every common Indian so hard that one generation will move to utter poverty, very soon.

Wake up now or say good bye to even whatever acche din you have till now.

What else you can expect from Modi and Company? Amit Shah and Modi survived charges in biggest massacre in the recent history of India by destroying evidences.

BJP will do anything to stay in power and when in power they will do anything get the clean chit. Look what is happening in all cases of terrorism? Every individual is getting clean chit. Soon even Asaram Baapu will walk free all thanks to BJP.

They will also create evidence if required to prove that the Accused was in different planet and the girl in question is spreading lies.

It's because digital India slogan, cashless economy and Make in India slogan. If that party play with EVM even CCTV may not be operative. So simple they placed their chela's everywhere.
The Police, IT, ED and CBI used like their tools. Both of these Governments UPA and NDA nothing but same no difference. Where is that Anna hazare who was crying for Lokpal?
Now three years are passed Baba Ramdev produced all brands of products who accusing multinational companies now minting money with same tactics.
It is very easy to fool people in India like the way current government doing.
