Hyderabad drug case: FedEx 'briefs' SIT in response to 'request'


Hyderabad, Aug 10 (IANS): Leading courier firm FedEx Express says if has "briefed" the
Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Telangana's Prohibition & Excise Department probing the drug racket in Hyderabad.

It stated that it was neither summoned nor served notice in the case. FedEx said no explanation was sought from it by the investigating team.

The SIT, in a release on July 19, had stated that three courier companies had been "requested" to come and meet it with respect to the investigation.

The officials of the courier firms met SIT. FedEx, however, maintained that it was only a "briefing".
