Gurugram, Aug 10 (IANS): Four people, including a man suspected to be involved in the killing of a property dealer to avenge a 23-year-old murder, have been arrested here, police said on Thursday.
The arrests were made when police were checking vehicles on Vatika Chowk on Sohna road on Wednesday night.
Gurugram Commissioner of Police Sandeep Khirwar told the media that two pistols were recovered from the four men who were travelling in a car. The four were identified as Bijender Singh, Ashok Kumar, Harender and Deepak.
"Deepak was involved in the gunning down of property dealer Rajkumar on July 25," Khirwar said. Police had already arrested Amit, Deepak's brother.
Rajkumar, 47, was shot dead to avenge the murder of Bhram Singh 23 years ago. Singh was also a property dealer.
Rajkumar was the main accused in the murder of Singh but was acquitted by a court.
Deepak and Amit, sons of Bhram Singh, along with four accomplices last month reportedly opened indiscriminate fire on Rajkumar's car when he was returning home.
