Five Taliban militants killed in Afghan airstrike

Kabul, Aug 17 (IANS): At least five Taliban militants were killed in an airstrike in Afghanistan's Kunduz province on Thursday, a top official said.

"Acting upon intelligence report, the airstrike targeted a Taliban hideout in Chardara district," the official told Xinhua news agency.
