BJP tries to take credit for triple talaq in Bawana bypoll

New Delhi, Aug 24 (IANS): The BJP tried to take credit for the apex court verdict on triple talaq in the Bawana assembly bypoll on Wednesday, putting up posters boasting of Narendra Modi government's success on the issue that "restored respect of women".

The posters, which covered a significant part of Shahbad Dairy area of the constituency on Delhi's outskirts, read: "Modi Sarkar ki pahal rang lai. 3 talaq khatm. Mahilao ko mila samman. (Modi government's initiative brought results...triple talaq abolished. Women got respect)."

The poster painted in saffron and green colour carries the pictures of Prime Minister Modi and also a picture of Ajrana Anjum - the lady who took credit of the poster.

The bypoll in Bawana was necessitated after AAP MLA Ved Prakash quit the party and the seat to join the BJP in March ahead of the municipal corporation election.

The seat witnessed a triangular contest between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), BJP and the Congress.

    BJP is the same party which mobilised the youths of Delhi against then CM Sheila Dixit government when 'Nirbhaya' was raped in moving bus.
    Then it was 'Nirbhaya' rape is the political issue , now divorced Muslim women in Delhi.

    Who will wipe the tears of someone daughter forced to sell for living in brothel?
    Who will save the daughters from abortion clinics who are killed before they see the light of world?

    Do everything need platform of 'mann ki baat' ? Why the words of PM can't be transformed into action?

    Court has done good justification. which should have done by Muslim ulemas as there is no place in Islam for instant triple talaq.
    Now, it's court turn again to get justice for those who have been abandoned without talaq, divorce, Vicchedana.

    What about so many honour killings of adult Hindu girls done by their parents/relatives for marrying boys of their own choice ? Who will go to Supreme Court to get justice and laws made to protect them ? Why is superman lawyer Subramanian Swamy not going to Supreme Court with his brief case to fight for them ? Does not affect votes of BJP, is that why ?

    Triple Talak will remain Islamic as per Quranic /Shariat Law on gender equality given for her consent both at the time of Nikah & Talaq.Talaq/Divorcee are common and on higher side not in India but world over in every community.It is true that practice of instant Talaq is unIslamic and being misused in the name of religion.I welcome the SC guidelines but I strongly oppose any interference in Muslim personal Law through Uniform Civil Code. Islam has already given guidelines for every aspect of life,one (Muslim) should follow in behavior/character, community & ,nation building. RSS should concentrate on major aspects of health, education, unemployment, communal harmony for the Muslim community rather than Talaq & Love Jihad, which has rating of minor occurrence & social impact.     A country with such a huge gender inequality according to UN's own sources is more worried only about Muslim women not only in India but also abroad(Saudi etc)..
    And after all this drama Muslim women will vote for you...If it is so come to my locality and listen view of Muslim women on BJP it is little bit acerbic if BJP has patience to listen it...Don't listen to pro sanghi republic,TimesNow and India Today rumours...

    Really laughable for people to think even remotely that Feku and BJPee are genuinely concerned about gender inequality or cruelty to women. Selec-tive issues are taken up that suit their political agenda which in this case is too dilute the negative impact of not getting muslim votes by dividing muslim men and muslim women. In the short run may be this strategy might work but all such strategies made with only elections in focus will backfire big time at which point they would have gone completely out of control of the powers that be. People say that voters are intelligent more because it is politically correct to say it and to avoid getting disliked but intelligent or not voters it seems have shown the willingness to get fooled by such well masked strategies which appear to be in public interest but have a deeper hidden agenda which in this case is to split the muslim votes and secondly to lay grounds for a uniform civil code which in a very diverse nation is totally inappropriate. In my view the basis for law to ensure justice for all should not be 'uniformity' but should be 'EQUALITY '.
    BJP supporters accuse the Congress too of making policies for appeasement. Therefore it needs to said here that punitive action and laws against injustice cannot be selec-tive to suit political agenda irrespective of who is in power. BJP bhakts seem to believe that PM Modi is a God-like character who can do no wrong and are eager to give him the credit when credit really belongs to the Supreme Court of India here. I am not against justice for muslim women but it is most important that justice should be available to all citizens equally which is not the case with this government. It is really shameful that the present government which came to power on the plank of tackling corruption and injustice allow their own vested political interests dictate decisions which are supposed to be in public interest instead of making decisions out of genuine care for ALL citizens .

    Though I may be wrong..,. contrary to perception among bhakt's about my views.., even I don't mind giving full credit to Namo lead NDA govt., However, at the same time I expect the Govt of the day.., should make laws/rules to protect Hindustani Bhagini's from dowry related harassment, deserting duly wedded wives etc.,

    This is the high time among Islam followers to recognize our honorable PM's secular commitment & credentials..., even though we don't see best wishes from our constitutionally elected present prime minister during Islam & Christian festivities.., (Correct me if i am wrong)

    triple talaq is nothing but vote bank policy for bjpeeans.
    i think we do not have any problem with talaq issue, because it's on us how we respect our marriage and life partner.
    what about devdasi, do bjpee forgot or there they can't get votes?
    what about punishment for rape , will bjpee speak againt it, or what about all fake kami babas?? are they sponsor for bjp party??

    Credit chor government! But I don't understand why media has failed to decipher the SC judgement on triple talaq! SC hasn'tbarred triple talaq but only 'instant triple talaq'. There's a vast difference between the two. Yet mainstream media is conveniently ignoring this and is reporting it to be a ban of 'triple talaq'. Instant triple talaq is banned in 22 Muslim-majority countries, since it is considered theologically improper and undesirable

    ..eventhough its court case, the BJP has right to take credit..it is the only party which always stood against TTL..whether in opposition or ruling..all sicular parties was in favor and when SC ruled against TTL then joined bandwagon..senior Congress leader Kapil sibbal was Lawyer for AIMPLB..even after verdict not a single siculars open their mouth, not even scholars, writers, celebries, award wapsi gang..

    Hundreds of Muslim women were distributing sweets and chanting in UP, Bihar, Dharwad, Some places in Bangalore favoring Modi for this historical judgment. When it is helping hundreds of Muslim Women why not credit goes to the motivator?
