Mangalore: Poll Brings Memorable Moments to Cameramen

Mangalore, May 25: Election means heavy work for police, press, government officials and party activists also. For few candidates, it’s a major breakthrough in their life and setback to others. Therefore, one can experience many embarrassing moments during polling and poll counting. Though, the Election Commission had enforced strict vigil till the end of poll counting, the supporters of winning candidates were successful in expressing their joy openly onto the streets.
BJP office located at PVS circle was filled with jubilant party activist who were joyous of their party likely to reign the state. Despite everyone was busy anxiously waiting for poll results of their candidate, few people were found to be selling garlands at the Canara College premises when the last rounds of poll count was nearing. Garland vendor Ismail, resident of Bunder, had sold about 100 garlands here in a brisk business.
Basically, he is a plastic merchant who utilized this opportunity to earn extra bucks by selling the garlands here, with his son Sahil. However, there were not many people at Canara College premises when it was 2 pm on Sunday, May 25. Thanks to modern technology for saving time when the majority of computer savvy citizens learnt of poll results ahead of actually announcing the results at the venue.
