Beltangady, Sep 4 : Two youths from Chikkamagaluru who had come to a college to meet two girl students, were attacked by a group here on Saturday, September 2.
Mohammed Unais (19) and Yusuf (20) are the victims.
Unais and Yusuf had come on a bike here to meet two female students from a college who belong to different community. When the four were seen at the bus stand clicking the photographs, a group of youngsters arrived there and assaulted Unais and Yusuf, it is gathered.
The video footage of the incident was circulated on social media later. When police came to know about this, they took two men into custody on assault charge.
The victims did not lodge any complaint and returned to Chikkamagaluru. It is said that they have been asked to file a police complaint.
