Supreme Court declines G Janardhana Reddy's plea to live in Ballari

New Delhi, Sep 4 (DHNS): The Supreme Court on Monday declined a plea by mining baron and former Karnataka Minister G Janardhana Reddy to live in Ballari.

A bench of Justices A K Sikri and Ashok Bhushan dismissed an application by Reddy to relax the conditions of bail. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, representing Reddy sought modification of January 21, 2015 orders whereby the apex court had granted him bail but with conditions that he would not visit Ballari , Ananthpuram and Cuddapah. He said since no charges have been framed so far in the matter and trial would take long time to complete, Reddy, now living in Bengaluru, should be permitted to reside in Ballari as his other family members are living there.

Rohatgi also said the case involving Obulapuram Mining Company could not proceed further as the issue pertaining to boundary between Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka to ascertain extent of illegality of iron ore extraction was still pending before the apex court.

Additional Solicitor General Maninder Singh ,however , opposed the plea saying Reddy was granted bail on the very condition that he would not visit Ballari. He also pointed out a special CBI judge has lost his job in the case against Reddy. He was indicating to a separate CBI case in which it alleged money was paid to grant of bail to Reddy.

Though Rohatgi said the court had earlier granted permission to Reddy to visit Ballari on earlier occasions, the court did not see merit in his plea to allow him to permanently live over there.

The court had in 2015 allowed bail to Reddy in an illegal mining case involving Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) after the CBI did not oppose his plea. The court had then directed Reddy to cooperate in the smooth process of trial and appear before CBI special court in Hyderabad, trying the case. It ordered Reddy to furnish two sureties of Rs 10 lakh each as condition for bail.

Reddy and his brother-in-law B V Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director of OMC, were arrested by CBI on September 5, 2011 from Bellary in adjoining Karnataka and brought to Hyderabad. He along with co-accused also faced five other cases.

In the OMC case, the company was accused of changing mining lease boundary markings and indulging in illegal mining in the Bellary Reserve Forest area, spread over Bellari and Ananthpuram district.

In the past JaJanardhana Reddy, a former minister from Karnataka, wanted bail "at any cost," according to his relative Dasarath Rami Reddy, who was arrested in the cash-for-bail scam.

In his statement to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Dasarath Rami Reddy has said he was asked to arrange Rs. 100 crore for the bail by former judge Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, who is one of the three judges arrested in the case. Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, however, has said the 100 crores was offered to him by Mr Reddy's family without his naming an amount.
Later a former judge, who was an accused in a cash-for-bail case allegedly involving former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in Hyderabad.
This man is so much in wealth from illegal wealth that he can sponsor political party in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and offer expensive gift of Rs40 crores to Tirumala and above all in middle of demonetisation he arranged Rs500 worth wedding of his daughter.
Thanks to BJP and its loyal worshippers, he once again wanted to rule his Bellary Republic .
In Bellary jurisdiction neither Anna agitation works nor PM Modi's commands. Only illegal wealth talks.
PM Modi wanted corruption free India. When it comes to Reddys Bellary is excluded from Republic of India.

Yeddy and this reddy are the biggest cheaters to Karnataka. Half of Karnataka is swallowed by these two thieves. The worst condition of India is that even a street dog has got a lot of followers but not to a good heart. People are just behind money, good speech and power. Not even a common sense to decide what is right and wrong. Because of this 80% criminals are in the legislative body and frame the laws, provide injustice to the common man who is really good in heart. DIFFICULT TO CHANGE MY INDIAN PEOPLE. BECAUSE YOU NEVER DECIDE AND ACT BUT JUST LISTEN AND ACT.

Reddy started his mining business in the year 1983.
He has been doing illegal mining almost from very the beginning .
People think that he did illegal mining only during BJP rule. ( 3.5 years)
He funds both Congress and BJP.
Even now under the Congress rule in Karnataka he is still doing the same type of illegal mining.

But in Karnataka, these are at the front row. The above comment itself meant that cannot be changed YOU LIKE MENTALITY. Your proving by justifying the same.
