Myanmar military fighter jet goes missing


Nay Pyi Taw, Sep 5 (IANS): A Myanmar military fighter jet was reported missing while on a training mission in the Ayeyarwady region on Tuesday, defence authorities said.

The G-4 fighter jet lost contact with the ground at 9.30 a.m. while on the mission with two other planes northwest of the Pathein airport, reports Xinhua news agency.

A search operation was underway, an official said.
