Panaji, May 29:
A major fire broked out in a scrapyard at Mapusa recently.

Based in the Khorlim locality, the Hindustan scrapyard turned to ashes. The loss was estimated to be around Rs 15 lac.

A minor short circuit in the wee hours of the morning resulted in the major tragedy where in the whole area was engulfed. However there were no casualties reported.

Around 15 fire fighters worked for more than 12 hours to get the fire under control.
