New Delhi, Sep 18: Honeypreet Insan, the adopted daughter of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and key Dera functionary Aditya Insan, tops the Haryana police’s most wanted list.

On Monday, the Haryana police released a list of 43 people wanted for rioting after Dera chief was convicted of rape on August 25.

Around 38 people were killed, many injured and crores of property was destroyed by the Dera followers after the verdict was announced.

Honeypreet is charged with conspiracy for trying help Ram Rahim escape after his conviction. Aditya is charged in a sedition case for inciting Dera followers to riot after Singh’s conviction. Both are on the run, after charges were slapped against them.

The police have tightened the security on the Indo-Nepal border as they suspect that Honeypreet is trying to sneak into Nepal. The police have circulated photographs and asked cops to keep a watch out for women "wearing a burqa or mask".

The cops have also released phone numbers, whatsapp and email details and promised to keep the identity of informers a secret.

Most of the wanted people were identified from photos and videos taken during the violence.

Another Dera functionary Pradeep Goyal and Aditya Insan’s relative Prakash were arrested and questioned. More charges may be slapped against Honeypreet Insan, based on their statements.
