Mangaluru: With murder of only breadwinner, Zubair's family stares at bleak future

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Oct 6: The family of Abdul Zubair, who had come to Mukkacheri mosque after completing electrical job in a fish mill at Ullal, was killed by a gang of four led by Suhail. Zubair was talking to friend, Illyas, when the gang attacked him with a machete on Wednesday. In this incident, Illyas too had suffered wound to his hand when the gang swung its weapon at Zubair, and he was treated in a private hospital at Thokkottu.

Suhail, and Altaf, who has been accused of being the mastermind behind this murder, are said to be leading members of Target Group led by Illyas from Ullal. The gang used to lay honeytrap for rich persons and then blackmail them by placing huge demands. The gang had attacked Zubair and his friend, Saddam, when they were near Arafa Hotel at Mukkacheri on February 24 last year, as they were angry at the signature campaign launched by Zubair against Target Group. As some people arrived there, the injured duo had escaped from the jaws of death.

The death of Zubair, who is survived by wife, two daughters, and four sons, all of whom attend school, has left the family direction-less. The entire family depended solely on the earnings of Zubair and now it has no clue how to manage things.

KPCC whose kaufer is Rich with money should take responsibility for this family now. Siddramiah govt should be credited for starting political murders in Karnataka. Many Innocents have lost their lives only for political reason recentl. This is unpresidennted. First time in Karnataka.
