Mangaluru: Zubair murder - four taken into custody by police?

Mangaluru, Oct 8: It is being claimed that the police have taken into custody four suspects relating to the murder of Zubair, a resident of Mukkacheri, Ullal, who was killed on Wednesday.

The police have formed three teams to hasten the investigation, which are conducting search operations in Kerala and Bengaluru in addition to Dakshina Kannada district.

A gang led by Suhail had hacked Zubair to death on Wednesday last near Mukkacheri mosque. It is said that the police could track the presence of cellphones of the accused till Thokkottu after which the phones were found to have been switched off. On the basis of the movement of the car carrying the killers, the police believe that they would have holed up at Bengaluru. There is pressure on police to crack the case early because of political interference. The police have taken this case as a challenge and are determined to solve it at the earliest.

In most of the cases, lot of time is wasted in identifying the culprits. In Zubair's murder case, identity of the killers is known. As the murderers are rowdy sheeters, police have all the details about them.
