Media Release

Mangaluru, Oct 12: Swatch Bharat Abhiyan or cleanliness drive was enthusiastically observed in St Agnes School CBSE from September 1 to 15. This event was celebrated by conducting various competitions such as quiz, debate, drawing and essay writing. The teachers, parents and students joyfully and actively participated in them.

In quiz, four rounds were conducted. Rounds like audio, video and quiz questions were responded intelligently.

Debate had its own charm. The topic for debate was ‘Swatch Bharat- Is it a Reality?’ Students from grade VIII and IX participated in it. They raised convincing questions and their opponents answered strongly and assertively.

As the drawing competition participants drew the pictures and colored them vibrantly, it was inferred that they too wanted to convey the message of Swatch Bharat through their meaningful and colorful pictures.

When words were poured out papers in essay writing competition, the evaluators were happy to read the views of the participants and their contribution to the society. September 9 was completely dedicated to clean the school campus. Many parents, teachers and students cleaned the school campus and made it beautiful and clean again.

Everybody’s efforts to clean the campus were valuable. A talk on Swatch Bharat added value to this campaign. Soon after that many parents took part in essay writing and drawing competition. They expressed their views on papers through essays and drawings. The event was a significant campaign.

At the end of this observation of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, teachers’ essay writing competition and drawing competition were conducted. Most of the teachers participated enthusiastically. The school thanks whole-heartedly principal Sr Jyothi Saldhana for encouraging and supporting to the make the campaign a successful one.

We hope and wish at the end of this drive i.e. 2nd October 2019, the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhiji, we will be able to see a clean and green India. Our best wishes for the drive.
