Mangaluru: Manjunath Shetty takes charge as ACP - traffic

Mangaluru, Oct 25 : Manjunath Shetty has taken over as assistant commissioner of police (ACP) – traffic on Wednesday, October 25.

ACP K Tilak Chandra, who was the chief of traffic till now, has been transferred to Chikkamagaluru.

Manjunath has rich experience in Dakshina Kannada district. He was earlier sub-inspector at Subramanya, Uppinangadi and Bantwal, circle inspector, traffic Kadri and circle inspector, Bunder. He also worked at immigration at Mangaluru airport. 

Later he was transferred as circle inspector Kundapur and subsequently as DSP in Shivamogga before taking over the present post.

    The traffic system in Mangalore is worst because of private buses and Rikshaw are on the road with out any rules. Hope we can see better days in your tenure.

    Mr. Manjunath Shetty is a person of name and fame. The Traffic wardens have had the opportunities of working with t Mr. Uday Nayak the architect of the Traffic Wardens Squad who was greatly responsible for the formation of the squad. His successor Mr. Tilakchandra too rendered yeoman service to the squad and the traffic wardens were happy to work with him.

    Now we have another well known person known for his good service in various places like Dakshina Kannada district. He was earlier sub-inspector at Subramanya, Uppinangadi and Bantwal, circle inspector, traffic Kadri and circle inspector, Bunder.

    I am sure he will extend his full support and cooperation to The Traffic Wardens who too are working relentlessly and trying their best to keep the difficult traffic situation under control. Of course they have the help and support of The Traffic Police
