Mangaluru: Modi visit - security personnel in full alert, preparations on

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 25: In view of the Prime Minister's visit to the district on October 29, Anti Naxal Force, which has been requested by the district superintendent of police, Sudheer Kumar Reddy, has made urgent preparations for undertaking combing operation in western ghat region. The force plans to concentrate on Beltangady and Karkala areas where naxal activity was considerable in the past, with the help of four to six 12 member contingents. For this purpose, in view of shortage of time, additional personnel would be indented from the headquarters of the force at Karkala. The combing operations are likely to begin on Wednesday.

After being alerted by the superintendent of police (SP) on Tuesday, officials at all the police stations in the district have been kept on high alert. Bomb disposal squad has already undertaken a thorough inspection at helipad, Ujire, Dharmasthala, and surrounding areas. The team has been asked to keep its personnel in readiness at all the spots where the inspection was undertaken. Sudheer Kumar Reddy and inspector general of police, Hemant Nmbalkar, have already visited Dharmasthala.

About 2,500 police personnel, and over 150 officer level staff are being deployed at Ujire, where lacs of people are expected to congregate on Sunday. The SP said that if necessary, staff would be indented from other neighbouring ranges to maintain law and order.

Additional director general of police, Alok Mohan, visited Dharmasthala on Wednesday to hold meeting with senior officers and guide them about preparations needed from the point of view of security.

Sudheer Kumar Reddy said that in view of shortage of time, officials have been given proper instructions. Members of Special Protection Group of the Prime Minister will be arriving at the district on Wednesday and hold meeting with top officers. Sources in the office of the SP stated that a 'Garuda' team will also be arriving here to take care of additional security requirements.

Mangalore people will welcome PM Modi because he is the Prime Minister of India. But inside their wound will burn again for the pains and discomforts experienced during Modi rule. Even abroad people come to Mangalore spending so much money for registration of houses and other work. They are telling we do not know what Modi will do next. We do not want to loose our property. Rich and poor all scared about Modi rule. No body comfortable.

Presently only the upper class rich who own benami properties and hold numerous accounts in various banks are complaining, since all have been advised to link PAN and Aadhaar cards with their bank accounts. The working middle class and poor have no other complaints except growing inflation.

What is wrong in linking Aadhar Card to bank account? Government should link everything to one smart account, including passport, driver license, pan card, aadhar card, credit cards, voter registration cards, property registration, katta, stocks, bonds and all immovable and movable assets like gold, antiques, paintings etc. If one has nothing to hide, there are no worries.

Country has over 30% people below poverty line.
It's extremely sad, Most of the TAXES paid by people, are spent on security and transportation of the ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES LIKE MINISTERS, who are actually peoples servants!
Kings also wouldn't enjoy so many amenities when their fellow citizens die of starvation!!!
It's high time to curtail such expenditures!

We Mangaloreans welcome the Prime Minister of India. Please live your 'Kabristan-Shmashana' politics back in Gujarat.
“Mere pyare deshvasiyon, give me 50 days of pain to deliver the India of your dreams,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8, “otherwise punish me at the place of your choice” - and most of India was sold to the utopian idea.
Mangaloreans have voted for BJP ever since 1990 for last 25 years. But our elected MP is like to burn his own elected constituency where you have promised 'Acche Din'.
Please maintain the dignity of your position. No personal attacks, no fake stories, no photoshops, no cheap talks, no dummy promises and no mandir-masjid, no religious talks.
We the Mangaloreans right to question the achievement of your government in last four years of your ruling. Your speech need to be only focused on 'development', 'jobs', and 'food security'.
