Thiruvananthapuram: Liberated from 'Love Jihad' clutches - woman stares at death

Daijiworld Media Network - Thiruvananthapuram (SP)

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 27: Akhila Ashokan alias Hadia (25), a homeopath, had married Shafin Jahan and converted into Islam last year. After her father filed suit in the state high court, contending that his daughter had been forcibly converted into Islam and her friends had forced her to convert, Kerala high court had concluded that Shafin Jahan had terrorist links. It had held the marriage illegal and given the girl back to her parents for protective custody.

On Thursday October 26, a video which was reportedly shot by an activist named Rahul Eshwar on August 17 this year, was released. In the video, Akhila can be heard pleading to get her out of the house lest she might be killed. "You have to secure my release from here as otherwise my death might happen anytime, within a day or two. My father is agitated. He thrashes and kicks me when I walk. I am afraid I might die after my head or some other sensitive part hits hard object," she can be heard pleading in the video.

It may be recalled that the Supreme Court has ordered National Investigation Agency (NIA) to conduct a probe to find out about the prevalence of 'Love Jihad' concept, particularly in this case. It also had expressed surprise at the fact that a marriage between adults had been annulled by the high court.

In the previous video released by the same activist, Hadiya could be heard wondering whether that was how she was meant to live. It is said that she has been confined to her house since the high court gave her to the custody of her parents. Police officials guard her house outside all along.

Liberated?? Not really. As far the girl is concerned she is being jailed at home with parents against her will. Vested political interests have used the case to create tension between communities involved. The husband is alleged to have links with extremists but the girl changed her religion before even knew him. So how can it be Love Jihad.
She is legally above the age and has personal freedom to choose the life she wants. As someone commented, if you choose their path its destruction. Can he guarantee that all the girls from his community married to their own community are living happily and there is no destruction.
Let's not be biased and take one sided view.

Girls who have married from Hindu community to Christians and vice versa live happily without much problems.
But things are not same with girls from the above two communities who have married Muslim boys.
    This is the fact.

If any girls from other community marries Muslim community men , her condition shall be better than other community girls but due to Sanghi's divide and rule and hatred policy, they are not allowing people to live in peace, if sanghis get rid of India, you may find new India with peach and prosperity.
