Rabat, Nov 2 (IANS): The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has condemned the deadly terrorist attack in New York which left eight dead and 13 injured.
ISESCO on Wednesday said whoever carried out the attack is a terrorist, whose heinous act is criminalised by Islam as a major sin, Xinhua news agency reported.
The Islamic organ reiterated its rejection and condemnation of terrorism under all its forms.
On Tuesday, Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, an Uzbek immigrant, drove a pickup truck down a busy bike path in Lower Manhattan, killing eight and injuring 13. He was shot by police and then sent to a hospital.
According to reports, he shouted "Allahu Akbar," which means "God is great" in Arabic.
