Beltangady: Cow transportation stopped at Shirlalu by Hindu activists

Beltangady, Nov 4: A three-wheeler goods tempo transporting cattle, was stopped and handed over to Venur police by members of a Hindu organization near Shirlalu on Friday November 3.

Three calves and one jersey cow, supposed to be stolen from Shirlalu, were being transported at around 5.30 am in an ACE three-wheeler. The activists of a Hindu organization of Pilya village, who spotted this, stopped the vehicle and informed the same to the Venur police. However, the police, on investigation, found that the cattle transporter had necessary permission from the local panchayat and no case was registered.
