Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 6: The income tax department, it is learnt, which has summoned minister, Shivakumar, and his family members to personally appear for hearing relating to raids conducted at various locations in the past, has arrived at Rs 400 crore as the value of assets belonging to the minister which are not accounted for.

These raids were conducted simultanesously on Shivakumar, his brother and MP, D K Suresh, father-in-law, Thimmaiah, sister, Padma, astrologer, Dwarakanath, entrepreneur, Sachin Narayan and several people close to him.

Is is said that during the previous occasions when he appeared for the inquiry, Shivakumar had confessed in statements made to the officials that he does not have any documents in support of assets to the tune of Rs 400 crore in his possession.

Out of this, Rs 120 crore stand in the name of the minister, and the balance Rs 280 crore has been invested in concerns of which he happens to be a partner. This figure of Rs 400 crore is inclusive of Benami properties and other assets acquired out of unknown sources of income, senior income tax officials say.

In the affidavit filed by him along with nomination papers in 2013, Shivakumar had valued the assets belonging to him at Rs 251 crore including land, buildings, commercial complexes etc.

D K Shivakumar's unaccounted wealth estimated at Rs 400 crore?
Farless than a blockbuster wedding of mining baron and former minister bail from jail Gali Janardhan Reddy's daughter marked by unmitigated opulence took place at the sprawling Palace Grounds Brahmani was thrown a five-day extravaganza which cost an estimated 5 billion rupee (£59m).
Two days before the Government observes “Anti-Black Money Day” on November 8, Reddy had his daughter's wedding uninterrupted in the middle of the 'demonetisation' in the whole nation people lined up outside ATMs and banks, for hours, days; often returning empty handed when machines ran out of cash; the poor hopeful that black money hoarders were going bankrupt, even as corrupt bankers laundered money.
The CBI is also investigating the alleged bribing of Hyderabad Special Court judge T.Pattabhirama Rao to secure bail for G. Janardhana Reddy in the Obulapuram Mining Company case, by his family members (G.Somashekar Reddy & H.Suresh Babu).Further investigations by CBI implicated others, including a retired judge T.V. Chalapathi Rao, in the "Cash for Bail" scandal.
In 1998, Janardhana Reddy's finance company, Ennoble India Savings, collapsed, leaving unpaid debts of over Rs. 200 crores. However, by 2008, he and his wife declared assets of Rs. 1.20 billion.
How does one make loss making business in less than 10 years astonishing billions?
Why does income tax department, Enforcement directorate and CBI is letting Reddy free despite allegation of Judicial Bribery.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks of eradicating corruption during his ‘Mann ki Baat’ programmes. Why his government using CBI and ED to target only opposition party members and then lure them to BJP?

Maybe Modi who has miserably failed to recover black money can utilize your expertise and day dreaming skills. That would be good for the rest of us to get the promised 15lakhs in our accounts.

All politicians in politics are in it for money or power.

If there should be a complete stop on corruption, then it should be made a law that all politicians and their close relatives must disclose their all bank accounts. If anybody has unaccountable money they should be prosecuted to the highest. the jail sentence must be minimum 50 years. But I know there cant be such law because in order to pass such it must be passed through the parliament and our parliament is full of criminals.

So the truth is that unless we stop voting criminals into the office there cannot be progress in terms of ending the corruption.

Mr. Jaimini P.B., Manipal, Sharjah. There is no such a thing as shame for these politicians. They are shameless to the core. I would equate them to a dog. You beat a dog, humiliate him, thrash him, shout at him and still he will be at your feet the next day. Same is the case with these politicians. You jail him, humiliate him and shame him but he will be back in politics when the occasion arises. Look at Yeddyurappa. Any person with an iota of shame would have shied away from public glare after the humiliation he was subjected to. But that fellow has no shame. He wants to be back as the C.M. to 'serve the people.' Same is the case with this Shivkumar. It would be better if he joins the BJP now. Not only will his case be squashed, he will have good company there. The only difference is that while a dog is very faithful, these politicians are faithful only to themselves.

Keep adding zeroes and imagining things that do not exist. BJP is great at creating lies and repeating them again and again. Since you know of so much wealth accumulated by the Gandhi's why don't you get them arrested and recover the money. You have all organs of the law and government at your disposal, and you also keep harping that Modi has increased India's clout with all international leaders and governments. This should therefore be a very simple task for superman Modi
