New Delhi, Nov 7 (IANS): One of the most anticipated festival of arts for children, "Indradhanush Dilli" is all set to return to the Capital for its tenth edition. Organised by Society for the Upliftment of National Arts of India (SUNAINA), in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, the six-day event will see a plethora of events taking place.
The festival is scheduled to begin on Wednesday and will continue till November 13. The organisers said that the festival witnesses an average of about "50,000 people flocking to enjoy every bit of it".
"The Festival will have Youth segment, Children Segment and one special segment, In youth segment,it celebrates our youth who have dedicated their lives to the promotion of Indian Dance Forms. In children's segment Bal Kala Utsav, hundreds of children coming from various corners of the country will present their talent on live stage in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Odissi, Mohiniattam, Hindustani Classical Vocal, Carnatic Classical Vocal, Folk Dance, Bollywood and Western Dance, Instrumental Rhythmic, Instrumental Melodic, Fusion Music, Mono Acting, Once Acting and Water Colour painting," the organisers said in a statement.
Specially-abled children will compete at par with normal children and around 500 awards will be distributed.
Indradhanush Dilli will be held over 4 venues -- Delhi Karnataka Sangh, Lok Kala Manch, Delhi Tamil Sangam and Vishwa Yuvak Kendra. The festival will encompass a wide range of activities across different venues for the people. Speaking about the coming event, Kanaka Sudhakar said
The festival will end with seminar by different practitioners of art from the fields of dance, music, drama, dance theatre, fine arts and sports to talk on Arts and Global Harmony and a grand award ceremony will be organised where the most talented children from different states practicing different art forms will be felicitated.
