Thank you, for supporting demonetisation: PM Modi on first anniversary of note ban

New Delhi, Nov 8 (Zee News): On the first anniversary of demonetisation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter on Wednesday, saluting the nation for supporting demonetisation. “125 crore Indians fought a decisive battle and WON,” he wrote on Twitter.

Accompanying graphics called demonetisation – 'A historic and multi-dimensional success.'

“I bow to the people of India for steadfastly supporting the several measures taken by the Government to eradicate corruption and black money,” he added.

On November 8, 2016, in a surprise move, PM Modi scrapped Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes overnight, calling it a "decisive war” against black money and corruption.

In a 40-minute address, first in Hindi and later in English, the Prime Minister said the notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 "will not be legal tender from midnight tonight" and these will be "just worthless piece of paper."

"You have 50 days (from 10 November to 30 December) to deposit notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 in any Bank or Post office," PM Modi told the nation in a televised address to the nation.

Who supported? Don’t think people are fools. A few blind bhaktaas who don’t want to see the world other than bjp, might have supported. But not all. Don’t think that tweeting or monkey baath would heal the wounds of the people who suffered trauma during demonetization.

Organised Loot and Legalised Plunder resulting in Catastrophic Blunder are words of Wisdom from an Eminent and World Renowned Economist. The PM and the BJP are responsible for the loss of over hundred citizens who lost their lives due to this senseless measure of demonitisation. Indeed a Black Day for India. The PM ought to apologise to the people of India for this senseless act that has destryed the lives of millions of Indians.

Development economist Jean Dreze has been vociferous critic of the Narendra Modi government's demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes a year back. He had famously warned that "demonetisation in a booming economy is like shooting at the tyres of a racing car". A year on, it seems his caution has come true. In the first quarter of the current financial year, the GDP growth slowed to a three-year low of 5.7 percent due to twin effect of goods services tax and note ban. I think that it is best to be frank about demonetisation and admit that it was a goof-up. The objectives outlined by the prime minister in his speech of 8 November 2016 have certainly not been met. If there were other objectives, let him spell them out. Otherwise, let him accept that it was a blunder.

Look at the shamelessness the PM is expressing his thanks for supporting demonetisation. No Indian has supported demonetisation but have tolerated the nonsense you have done the economy. Your lack of education is the major problem in bringing this demon scheme. Recollect what you said last year in Dec., 2016 "Give me 50 days time, if not hang me". Indians have given you 1 years time, now it is time for you to pack off by resigning and calling for immediate election, the indians will show you your place or even hang you.

We are citizens of India and if our govt is doing something wrong we have all the rights to criticise. Modi brought all the poor and middle class people to footpath by demonetization and GST. He is giving loan and deducting 20% as
GST and taking huge interest means he is looting the people. Govt is taking GST more than the profit. How the small traders can survive???? This joker cannot fool the people any more.

Why isnt GST introduced in petrol, diesel etc.
FYI as far as I've seen, GST has not exactly reduced the price of commodities. Rather it has increased them. Earlier 1 plate of fried rice cost Rs.60. Now its Rs.60+GST. Same thing has happened to many services and commodities out there.
This move, according to my view, is nothing but a means to show that inflation has not happened post demonetisation. Your so called GST is a fox in sheep's clothing at the moment. Implementation of GST is a must but not at the moment when the economy is recovering.
Afterall, GST requires all the shops to be registered under the GSTN and all the shops mandatorily require computer and a printer which is costly to the small shops.

The world bank's ease of doing business is totally flawed if you actually look into it right now. The government has not done anything to reduce the price of computers and mobiles too.

That Middle Eastern economy was fell because their main income was Crude Oil. Crude Oil Prices in the international markets fell sharply and the M.E have no other choice except to charge some tax to all the residents.

INDIA IS BENEFITING SINCE 2014 FROM THE SHARP FALLING OF CRUDE OIL IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET.

EVEN AFTER BENEFITING FROM THE FALL OF CRUDE OIL AND A STRONG ECONOMY, INDIAN ECONOMY WAS MADE TO FALL PURPOSELY BY THE LITTLE KNOWLEDGEABLE, LITTLE LITERATE CHAAIWAALA PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA.

U.P.A HAS MANAGED THE ECONOMY IN SUCH A WAY EVEN AFTER TWO RECESSIONS AND WITH HIGH CRUDE OIL PRICES IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET PLUS MANAGED WITH KICHIDI GOVERNMENT/COALITION GOVERNMENT.

Thus this govt is good at drama, fooling people and giving fake promises . FEKU RAJ . Only rich and particularly Gujarathis are benefiting .

Can be defined only in one sentence.
    "Organised Loot and Legalized Plunder"

PM Modi still not accepting the blunder and the chaos he created in the entire country. This attitude will cost him dearly.

RBI released data shows DeMo failed to flush out black money, Economy is still coping with the growth slump, corruption hasn't decreased, terrorists haven't stopped attacks.

On what basis he says "Battle has won" ?
