Mangaluru, Nov 29: A physical fight between two skating competitors in between the competition held in city on November 26 has gone viral in social networking sites.

The skating participants had fought in the rink during the 33rd state level skating championships. The competitions were organised by HiFi Skating Club at Francis Doris Skate City at Hoige Bail.

The final round of competitions for above 16 years was in progress when Raghavendra and Ankith, both from Bengaluru purposely dashed against each other and fell before crossing finish line. Raghavendra attacked Ankith immediately at the time. Referees intervened and separated them.

As video of their fight went viral, there are discussions if skating has reached to this low level.

It is said that the assault was to avenge the assault on Raghavendra by Ankith last year. There are allegations that the incident reoccurred as no action was taken by state skating last year.

A police case stands registered at Urwa police station.
