Mangaluru: Car accident - Ian Mascarenhas (27) passes away

Mangaluru, Dec 23: As a result of an accident that took place on late night of Friday, a person died on Saturday, December 23 and three sustained minor injuries.

Ian Mascarenhas (27) is the person deceased.

Ian is survived by a sister, father Stephen Mascarenhas (Hemacharya), who is the editor-in-chief of Daijiworld Weekly and mother Annie Mascarenhas.

As per details, Ian was travelling in a car with other four friends when a vehicle coming from the opposite side hit the car near BMS Hotel at Kuntikana on national highway. Ian got thrown out from the car and sustained injuries.

An injured Ian was admitted to A J Hospital immediately. He breathed his last on Saturday morning without responding to treatment.

Ian worked in Saudi Arabia and had reached Mangaluru on holidays this week.

Funeral details:

Public viewing in Bondel St Lawrence Church 2 pm on Sunday, December 24.

Funeral Mass at 3 pm.
