Mangaluru: We have clues on Ilyas murder, says police commissioner

Mangaluru, Jan 13: Police commissioner T R Suresh said that the police have enough clues to nab the killers of Ilyas who was killed on Saturday, January 13 in city. He did not give further details.

Speaking to reporters outside the hospital where Ilyas died, T R Suresh said that police will nab the culprits soon.

Ilyas was released on bail three days before, police commissioner said.

He also said the investigation has begun based on the complaint lodged by the wife of Ilyas.

As per information available, Ilyas’s wife had gone to a hospital. The door was opened by the mother-in-law of Ilyas when the assailants knocked the door.

Ilyas was stabbed on the chest with a sharp weapon.

Police believe that gang war between two criminal gangs led to the murder of Ilyas.

Ilyas was a member of notorious criminal gang Target Group.

    Hope the clues are not like HM's clues relate to Gowri murder. Still HM's clues remain as clues and we are waiting them to materialize.
