Udupi: Fraudster comes as fakir, robs eight sovereigns gold from women

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Jan 27: A fraudster came to a house in which only two Muslim ladies were there, in the guise of a fakir, deceived the inmates of the house and robbed eight sovereigns of gold.

This incident took place in the house of Ayesha, a resident of Bailujidde under Udyavar village limits on Thursday, January 26.

The fakir came to the house in the afternoon when only Ayesha and her mother-in-law were at home and tried to attract them through his talk on religion. He entered the house after making sure that there were only two ladies in the house and no men were around.

After drawing the two ladies into a conversation he is alleged to have told the ladies that the gold that they have kept inside the house had disappeared. He also questioned them whether they were aware of this fact. To this query of fakir, Ayesha responded by saying that the gold is in the same place where it is kept inside the house. The fakir asked Ayesha to show the same to him and she obediently brought the gold from inside the house and showed the same to fakir.

Gold gets disappeared in the smoke

Fakir told the ladies that they are in the danger of losing this gold and he will perform some ritual by which they will not lose the same. Subsequently he took the gold and placed the same inside the earthen pot which he had. Then he made fire with smoke and gave the pot to the inmates of the house and left the place.

Little later, the ladies came to know that they were taken for a ride by the fakir when they opened the pot which was empty. They immediately informed the same to Kaup police.

Police have the images of the fraudster through the CCTV footage of a nearby house. They are searching for him.

Results of fundamentalist "blind faith"!! As far as people do not start think rationally such incidents can never be rooted out!! The women, not the fakir, responsible for their loss!!

I too have experienced a would be baba tried to make money to start his business by making me believe in his powers & his getting powers after he went to Himalayas & how he saw some apparition in my business place & he thought it was holy place & later he found out I have not fulfilled my "Harake" to a holy place.

My smile & my rationale mind questioning within my mind about who had asked him about all these & why I have to believe his stories made him think I'm not the bakra & he left, gave me business & he transformed from safari suit to kaavi, grew big beard & dreadlocks & within a few years he was travelling in a jeep & after a few years his name figured in a evening news paper about his duping tactics & his past wife too.
Same way a fakir came to my shop, but realized it was not his religion shop, went to the 3rd shop, said somebody has planted something in his shop & to search for the same, they found out some copper sheet scribbled with something hidden behind his goods & he threw it out & burned it, a crowd gathered around there & he made them believe about his powers & how much money he made through this magic of planting the sheet by his son coming there before as a customer & sending this fakir later to unravel was the trick .
Keep a distance from these tricksters & save your valuables & money.
