Bengaluru: SIT denies arrest of two suspects in Gauri Lankesh murder case

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jan 27: Rumour is making rounds that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested two suspects in the journalist Gauri Lankesh murder case.

It is claimed by some people that one person from a neighbouring state and one from Malnad region of the state are being interrogated.

It is also said that the person who fired the bullets at Gauri is a resident of the neighbouring state and the one who provided him support is from the Malnad region of Karnataka.

In addition, a word is also being spread that SIT is in search, in the states of Maharashtra and Goa, for the person of an organization, who gave the 'supari' to eliminate the journalist.

SIT has denied these rumours and the investigating officer himself has clarified that they have not arrested anyone so far in this regard.

Home minister Ramalinga Reddy also confirmed that, "No accused has been arrested with regards to the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh. Investigation is still on. We are confident that the accused will be arrested soon."

Our home minister sticks to his words - never changes them.
Soon after Gauri's death he promised "killers will be nabbed soon".
Even now he says the same thing.

The Naxalites have no tolerance ,once they feel the person is trying
to or helping other fellow naxlites to reform they follow this method
So govt is having the clue of this connection but doesn't want to publish
as then they can't blame rightwing /Hindu outfits
