Bantwal: Two young men get washed away in Netravati river, one body found

Bantwal, Jan 28: Two young men got washed away while swimming in the Netravati river at Thumbay here.

They have been identified as Sawad (30), son of Thumbay resident Sulaiman, and Ramlan, son of Maripalla resident Ibrahim.

While the body of one of them has been found, search is on for the other man.

Sunday being a holiday, a group of nine friends decided to go to Netravati river for a swim. However, Sawad and Ramlan got pulled in by the currents.

Bantwal rural police along with locals and expert swimmers are looking for the missing man.

    RIP. Let their family have courage to bear this huge loss.

    People still dont realize even after seeing so many deaths due to such foolish act of entertainment.
    They have however faced the horrofic death. Even worse is they have made their near and dear once live with pain.
