Bengaluru: Prakash Raj decries fake image, urges Indians to question fearlessly

Bengaluru, Jan 29 (IANS): Actor Prakash Raj, on Monday decried a "fake" statement on secularism and tolerance attributed to him. He also urged people to question fearlessly.

The actor, who has been vocal about being anti-Modi, tweeted a photograph which features his image and the lines "All Hindus should learn secularism" "Hindus have been wiped out from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir. They never sought revenge from Muslims. They silently embraced death. All Hindus should learn secularism and tolerance from those Hindus."

Prakash marked it as 'fake' and captioned it: "By spreading such lies, instead of debating my views, you are proving to the world how frustrated... desperate... and the cheap levels you can stoop down."

He then urged: "Dear citizens, please like and retweet this to show such cowards ...that we stand for a fearless society which questions."

Prakash has been of late quite active with his 'Just Asking' hashtag on Twitter, where he raises pertinent questions related to socio-political issues.

During a conclave earlier this month, he had commented on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah and BJP leader-cum-central minister Anant Kumar Hegde, saying: "I am anti-Modi, anti-Amit Shah and anti-Hegde".

he is criticizing Modi and amit shah, saying he is non political.

What a shame! A person who is ashamed of using his Mangalorean surname so as not to affect his employability in Tamil film industry is the star campaigner of Congress today. Today the State govt is imposing Kannada on Tulu people and crushing the aspirations of people of Tulu Nadu. Tulu Nadu Sena must be formed & gherao the house of Madhavaraj and Oscar who hav not been able to award constitutional status to Tulu & are hand in glove in finishing of Tulu and Tulu people. We demand autonomous council of Tulu Nadu immediately. We condemn and redist being ruled by people of Mysore-Bangalore Karnataka for whom we are merely a kand of natural resources and where harmful chemical & hazardous industries can be shifted.

Prakash Raj says instead of criticizing him ,he asking to debate his views. Then we will start debate his view's on kaveri issue. The person who cannot make a opinion on one issue like kaveri , he is asking nation to debate on his trivial statements.

He is not Anna Hazare to whom we w can give any great importance. Now supreme court reopened 1984 massacre of 3000 sikhs. Let Prakash Raj make a statement on this issue.

I appriciate Prakash raj for his acting skills and bow my head for his 5 national awards. But don't think that you are master of politics. You better you be in cinema. Your statements hurt the people the way you hurted by your friends Gowri Lankesh's death.

In the year 1951, Pakistan ( East and West Pakistan were together ) had Hindu population of 12.9%
Today, East and west Pakistan are separate countries. Now they are called as Pakistan and Bangladesh.

In Pakistan, In the 1998 Census the Hindu population was found to be 2,443,614
Based on the 1998 Census as well as stabilization of Pakistan's Hindu population since then, Pakistan would, today, have roughly 3,000,000 million Hindus, which is 20% more than 1998 census.

In Bangladesh, in 1951 Hindu population was 9,239,603 and in the census of 2011 the Bangladeshi Hindu population shows that there are 12,492,427.
So, Numbers of Hindus in Bangladesh have significantly increased though percentage have decreased as Muslim fertility rate have been better.

So, bottom line is; Number of Hindus increased in Pakistan and Bangladesh NOT DECREASED AT ALL.
    So STOP spreading LIES.

false promises...Jumlas...showing big to the world marketing propaganda ( last BJP rule it was INDIA SHINING show time. ). this time all total bogus 4 years of ruling, diverting the main issues to Gomatha , Love jihad, nationalism, etc etc. by which INDIA has gone back to 20years.

We will pay heavily for these damage. the new team of ministers will make enough corrupt wealth (like late Mahajan..his mental son is enjoying that wealth ) for few generation of their families. Citizens of INDIA irrespective of any party or individual if its wrong .have courage to ask question & criticise it. have some moral at least to appreciate people like Prakash Rai.

Before independence we had kings, kingdoms, emperors, empires, etc. Our ancestors were uneducated and illiterate, no media, no social network, no democracy and were in slavery and thinking they have to work for their masters or something bad will happen or killed if they go against the kings and landlords. Europeans came they used our mentality (still the same) like selfishness, filling their own coppers with expense of poor people, Fighting between kingdoms and helping one kingdom to fight against another (like our political parties) and ultimately taking that kingdom.

We are in 21st century with mostly educated and they know what is good and bad, all homes are with TVs and mobiles where one can know immediately what is happening any corner of the world.

Still, we people can not come out the attitude and mentality of our ancestors and we follow the slavery system of our metric failed leaders and criticize well educated ministers or politician. And also we are like crabs instead supporting we pull legs.
Those who write on this forum I believe you guys have a college education and my simple question to all, in Moodbidri , Alva's education institute why so many deaths and why Mr. Alva is not punishing them, is the person is so powerful than his Institute, why the political figures or members of any parties do not care about the people in the community. How can you vote for them or anywhere in Karnataka.

What can we expect from RSS who never took part in Freedom struggle and never hoisted the Indian Flag for 52 years today they are questioning the patriotism of true indians through their nationalism, which is fake and distorted. When a country is ruled by PM who ruled gujarat during 2002 riots and cares a damn about it even today what can you expect the lower cadres who care a damn about India and Indians. They are here to distort the beautiful history of India and the future of India through their fake nationalism. It took congress 62 years to make India from good to worse but it has taken BJP just 3 1/2 years from worse to disaster.

These Saffron party is misleading the Hindus.
During the partition, East Pakistan, which is now Bangladesh, had a higher number of Hindus - hence, raising the entire country's Hindu population percentage. Individual percentages of Hindu population was 22% and 2% for the East and West respectively with the combined percentage being around 12%. When Bangladesh gained independence, the percentage of modern-day Pakistan fell to 2% as would be case since the Hindus in East Pakistan became citizens of Bangladesh.
