Mangaluru: Star-studded 3-day Coastalwood Premier League begins

Mangaluru Feb 3: Founder president of Karavali College Ganesh Rao inaugurated second season of Coastalwood Premier League (CPL) - 2018 here at Nehru Maidan on Friday February . The event is being organised by Coastalwood Actors and Technicians Associations (CATCA).

Addressing the gathering Ganesh Rao said," I congratulate CATCA for organising CPL where all celebrities and technicians are taking part in the three- day tournament. Keeping their professional commitments aside, now they are ready to battle out for CPL title. It is a rare combination as media and comedy stars are playing the exhibition match which is a treat to watch. Young energetic stars of Coastalwood need to grow big and achieve name and fame in Sandalwood and Bollywood industries. I wish everyone all the best in their future endeavours,”



Organisers felicitated Namma TV's Shivasharan Shetty, Mrs India 2017 Tripthi Rao, actor Naveen D Padil and director Prakash Pandeshwar during the occasion.

Coastalwood teams such as Tuluvere Stars, Kudla Rockstars, Karavali Kings, Kudla Legends, Coastal Warriors, Coastalwood Tuluvas, Tulunadu Lions and Mangalore Tigers will clash for the CPL title 2018.

Tulu Comedy Stars and Media Super Stars played an exhibition match.

Former minister Krishna J Palemar, chief whip of Legislative Council Ivan D Souza, corporator Mahabala Maarla, Naveen D Padil and others were present.
