Mumbai: ‘Do not be too confident' - Sonia Gandhi tells state Congress

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai (RJP)

Mumbai, Mar 10: Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi has told the Karnataka state Congress not to be too confident, but to be only confident.

Sonia Gandhi was speaking at the India Today Conclave here on Friday, March 9.

"Karnataka is a very important state of us. We have to do our best to return to power," she added.

"Our people there are quite confident. However, it is better not to be too confident but to work very hard till the very last day," she said.

On the prospects of the Congress in the country, she said that the party did well in recent bye-elections in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. "We won three seats - one Assembly and two Lok Sabha in Rajasthan. We won two Assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh," Sonia said.

Yes, state congress is over-confident because in their opposition, they see BJP leaders who are already discarded by BJP for their corruption and anti-people policies.

However, overconfidence is one aspect, but the crooked plays what BJP can come out with another thing. There are hundreds of BJP chealas with congress mask. It is important for congress to ensure the workers have the true ideology of the leaders who put India in a growth path & development.

Due to demonetization, congress has no money now. All bjpians, bhakts, their chelas have too much money. From that money they are conquering state elections one by one. So madam knows the truth. In front of money power honest people & work is not noticed.

Congress should be careful since many MLA's are carrying baggage of anti incumbency. Also the ghost of BJP is sitting on head in most constituencies especially in Coastal Districts where BJP is trying hard to redeem LOST seats. Also JD(S) is gnawing at the minority vote share of Congress in Bengaluru, Coastal Districts and in Mysuru, Mandya etc..
So, in a way Sonia Madam is right. Congress should fear

She is the daughter in law of Iron lady.RESPECT!!!
She is the one of the powerful women in the world as per forbes list.
She always carried the great aura in her ,its not easy to be a foriegner daughter in law .She stepped into political field when both the pillars of congress fell apart(Her saas and pati). If it was present day .She would have told definitely someone else to handle.

But sadly ,she is BAHU of India.AND INDIA IS,WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY .INDIA CAN NEVER MAKE JUSTICE TO DAUGHTER INLAW,THEN BE IT SHE A FORIEGNER OR INDIAN.THEIR DIGNITY COMES AT STAKE WHEN THEY ARE TOLD TO RESPECT D-I-L.THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE WHEN IT COMES TO WOMEN ISSUES ESPECIALLY D-I-L AMONGST AFGHANISTAN , PAKISTAN N INDIA.ALL ARE SAME.

MY BOY IS SMALL,BUT IAM MAKING HIM CLEAN HIS OWN MESS,I LL IN SHAALLAH TREAT MY BAHU AS PRINCESS OF MY HOUSE.

    @Fathima,

Hope that your wish become reality. Hope your boy bring BAHU of your dream.

India was and is a Third World. Doubtful matter is "Will be" . India is forging ahead and the First and Second World countries of the past are leaning towards India. This trend will keep India still a Third World ? I don't agree.

Yah... that Iron Lady kept the leaders of the past and veterans at present all behind Iron Bars (Vajpayee, George Fernandes, Advani, Ramakrishna Hegde ... all these people are respected by people). So... She is Iron Lady.... Also Kabbinada Kadale (Iron Peanut) for the common people.

She is right. Recent results in the north east which has always been the congress stronghold must have made her to give this statement. Over confidence may cost sometimes. Modesty pays. Good luck.

Madam Sonia this time all the people are with you.Don't worry.Bjp has to realize that all is not GREEN and they should remember the 2013 performance.First they have to justify this with their HORRIBLE ruling.Their thick skinned attitude is going to cost them this elections I believe firmly.

True.... She always avoided media. This is the success of media to bring her online. Earlier she has no answers for the queries. Now she understood the pulses of people. When you are in Rome you have to be Roman. Similarly when you are in Hindustan...........

Modi is most honest in supporting Robert Vadra, during 2014 his main campaign punch line was I will get Robert vadra behind the bars. Robert vadra is still sitting in a bar like a free bird and sipping his scotch and bhakts are still chanting Modi Modi.
