Unless the infrastructure in India keeps pace with the economy, citizens will continue to pay the prize. I have not returned to India in nearly three decades, I have missed great many mile stones that our country has achieved and the bottlenecks that prosperity has given birth to. My friend who is used to the safety and security of highways in the Western world, recently drove from Poona to Goa while on vacation in India, her experience was synonymous with the incidents I often read from Indian media. In a nation where it takes forty years to build a small stretch of road (Kulshaker), there is no dearth for motor vehicles India being the fourth largest manufacturer of motor vehicles in the world.
