Will Modi government apologise to students for CBSE paper leak, ask Congress

New Delhi, March 30 (IANS): Questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on the CBSE paper leak, the Congress on Friday said that a "mafia" is controlling India's examination system and if the government can't ensure security of school question papers, how will it ensure the seurity of the country.

The party also asked why Modi and his government was not apologising to the students for the CBSE paper leak. "When there is darkness in the country, the 'chowkidar'...

"Is anyone happy under Modi government? Farmers crisis is at its peak, they're not receiving right MSPs for their produce and now students are suffering due to this CBSE paper leak.

"CBSE paper leak is not the only paper leak. The SSC scam was another major concern. If the government does not take accountability for its wrongdoings, then who will?" he asked.

"If a government can't even ensure security of school question papers, how will it ensure security of the whole country?"

Sibal also said that "mafia is controlled the examination system in India - be it Vyapam, SSC or the CBSE" and the accused the government of "protecting the mafia everywhere" and "working in collusion" with it.

"PM Modi is silent on this. Is he not worried. 20 lakh students have to appear for examination again. No one is saying sorry to the students who are on the streets. Not a single person has apologised.

"Are they so arrogant that the government is shying away from saying sorry?" he asked.

Sibal said that it was the first time that 20 lakh students are appearing for an examination based on a single question paper. "

Earlier, different zones had different question papers for the same subject and it too, there were changes made in the serial numbers of questions in different centres.

"Why did they change the system? Was there any pressure? The HRD minister (Prakash Javdekar) didn't reply to this. Who made this change?

"Why was the CBSE Chairperson abruptly replaced even before his tenure ended?" he asked.

When one wants to take credit for every thing then one will have to take criticism also for every failure.
If a captain gets praise for his team's win then he should also be prepared to accept criticism for his team's loss. Simple logic !

The optics is all wrong for the BJP these days. The media is coming out with all daggers for the government whether it is within their reasonable control or not. The same was done of the congress before 2014 election and the same is done to the BJP.
It might be asking for too much of the Modi Govt. to be asked to apologise but then the PM had himself made it his personal crusade with 'Parkisha pe Charcha'. Now the Pariksha is turning out to be Agni Parikash to the Govt.
On the issue of CBSE leak, It is very sad that that the paper leaked and the administration is in shambles but the media and organisations , political or social using children as their cover to take on the govt. was uncalled for. I remember my time, the physics paper had leaked twice and we had to answer the exam three times and then the CET was constitued and thus we had to take the physics paper 4 times. Then we were told by our parents , this is life, face up to it. Make opinion against things which are bad do not loose hope buck up and do not cry over spilt milk.Time we teach our children the same.

This is a democracy and not a dictatorship/authoritarian rule and so questions can and will be asked. Stupid or smart depends on which side of the fence one is on. It is clear which side of the fence one is on for those who think the question is stupid. Free country man - free to choose sides but calling 'stupid' is only an opinion not the truth.

If our P.M. had some feelings for the people he would have apologized for the Blunders of DEMONitization and GST, No certainly he is not directly responsible for the Question Paper leaks(CBSE and others). BUT he is fully responsibly for appointing incompetent Ministers ,

Imagine having a Partime F,M /Defence cum Parliamentray Affairs Minister for almost 3 years .
By the time this gross error was released the Damage done could not be undone ever again
The F.M himself has gone on record saying that GST will benefit the Next Generation,

The new Defence Minister instead of focusing on her Ministry issues comments about other issues and never gives a speech without blaming the Congress.

Even on the Question Paper leak the HRD minister gave prominence to other W.B news rather than this serious issue which affects his Ministry and under his direct control.

Why was a incompetent CM appointed in U.P.
P.M. should realise that the mandate was given by the people for Governance and this could be done by appointing competent Ministers , Are there not competent enough M.P.s ?

The people are watching the P.M's silence too. The Farmers power, the Students power , the business class frustration, the ignored and suffering minorities and the People's verdict and the Ballot will prove if the foregoing are wrong or right

Question paper leak is happening every year in Karnataka. Did Siddaramayya apologised. There are many incompetent, corrupt ministers in congress ruled state. Why are you silent against them. Now a days its became habit to blame Modi for everything. But nobody will succeed in this. He will be our Prime Minister at least for another 15 years. Dnt bother about UP bcz you did not elect him.
