Courts best way to settle disputes, not violence: RSS chief

Ahmedabad, Apr 11 (DHNS): RSS supremo Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday said that instead of agitations or resorting to violence, courts were the best route to settle disputes in post Independence India.

Quoting Dr B R Ambedkar, Bhagwat said Babasaheb had maintained that "while agitations were the need of the time in pre-independent India to throw out foreign rule, in Independent India, courts must be the rightful route for settlement of any disputes."

The RSS supremo said this at the launch of a website on Sardarsinh Rana, the revolutionary leader, who from London and Paris, is said to have provided support to India's armed struggle for Independence.

Not senseless violence

"Revolutionaries like Sardarsinh supported armed resistance against colonial rule for a cause and in a different context. While they carried out armed struggle, parallelly they also worked towards social, political and religious reforms in the country. It was not senseless," he said.

Though he did not make a direct reference, Bhagwat's statement comes in the wake of widespread violence during the recent Bharat Bandh by various dalit outfits.

Bhagwat said that there was no other altnernative for India but to progress. "The rule for the nation is that either one moves ahead and develops or goes backwards," Bhagwat said, adding that for this to happen, there must be amity among Indians, irrespective of different ideologies.

Interesting it was launch of a website on Sardarsinh Rana, the revolutionary leader, who from London and Paris, is said to have provided support to India's armed struggle for Independence. Has he realized that we need cleansing of criminals within from all political parties of India? They can rape minors and kill their parents and walk at broad day light without any fear.
