Mumbai, Sep 8: A Maha Ganapati Yaga was performed under the aegis of  the Bombay South Canara Brahmins' Association (BSCBA), at their old age home located at Sea Wood sector 19, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, on Sunday September 7.

Sri Vishveshateerta Swamiji of Pejavar Math, Udupi, set the proceedings in motion and  graced the occasion. Sri Krishna Vittal Pratistan Mumbai founding trustee Vidhwan Vishwanath Bhat performed the 'yaga'.



Brothers Ramakanth and Raviraj Nakshatri, had drawn a colourful 'rangoli' of Lord Ganesh.

BSCBA president Dr Suresh S Rao, was actively involved in organizing the yaga. J K Bhat, Shailini Rao, secretary A S Rao, joint secretary A P Poti, treasurer Haridas Bhat Pernankila, Tara Rao, Geeta L Bhat, Balakrishna B Rao, executive president A K Hebbar, and Gopalakrishna Pratishtan trustee Dr P G Rao were amongst those present on the occasion.

    I wish to contribute  good english and kannada books to the library of the BSCBA old age home  so senior citizens could enjoy reading them . I would also like to involve myself in serving the aged in whatever way possible.
