Kundapur, May 8: Electricity supply was cut to the house of an activist who had deserted BJP and crossed over to the Congress to register unhappiness at the policies of MLA, Halady Srinivas Shetty.
Power supply to the house of Raju Kulal, president of Madamakki gram panchayat, who was one among the Halady biters who left BJP to join Congress, was cut and stones were thrown at his compound and house. The window panes were shattered due to stones thrown. The miscreants however escaped immediately after this attack.
Raju Kulal had left BJP on May 6 and therefore naturally he feels that this was the handiwork of the people who were angry over his defection.
Congress candidate from the local constituency, Rakesh Malli, and other party workers visited the spot after coming to know of it.
