Bengaluru: Let's wait for May 15, says Deve Gowda on hung assembly predictions

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, May 13: With exit poll predictions showing possibility of hung assembly and Janata Dal (Secular) playing kingmaker, former Prime Minister and JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda said reality will be known on May 15, the poll result day.

"I am not prepared to accept or reject anything," he told media on Sunday.

Deve Gowda after casting his vote at Holenarasipura town of Hassan district on Saturday had said that Janata Dal (Secular) has performed well and will form government in Karnataka Assembly election 2018.

While political analysts have predicted JD(S) will be the kingmaker in the upcoming polls, it is still not certain if JD(S) will form an alliance with the BJP or Congress.

Both BJP and Congress have blamed JD(S) for supporting the other. Congress called JD(S) as BJP’s ‘B’ team while Prime Minister Narendra Modi who refuted the allegations stated that JD(S) is secretly aligned with Congress.

Meanwhile, Deve Gowda said he is not interested in an alliance with either BJP or Congress. JD(S) has joined hands with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) led by Mayawati. The two parties have claimed that they will form the nucleus of a non-Congress-non-BJP front.

JD(S) enjoys the traditional support of Vokkaligas in Karnataka. Kumaraswamy, who is also JD(S) chief ministerial candidate is contesting from two constituencies - Ramanagara and Channapatna.

I feel it will be BJP in Karnataka with an absolute majority of 140 to 150 seats. Congress will get 50 seats and rest JDS. BJP is benefitted by the campaign of Modi and Amit Shah and most people in my view has voted for BJP.

U r dreaming. What magic FEKU and DHAKU has? only for speech people will vote to BJP? if this is the case then in future politicians only give speeches instead of development.

BJP ruled in Karnataka in past with too much corruption and internal fights, resort politics. People know all these so they never vote to BJP.

How come only FEKU speech will give extra votes to BJP? He also didn't any developments in 4 years, flop demonetization, flop GST, all false promises. If these are his developments he would have mentioned these in his speeches. He didn't mentioned because he also know its flop.

Devegowda the former PM had told earlier that he will disown his son (Kumaraswamy) if he goes for an alliance with BJP.
Now in case the prediction of hung assembly comes true, the only option is to have an alliance with Congress or disown his son to keep his words.
What a complex situation he is bound to handle at this age ! OMG!!!

Sidhu has given clues that he will not be the CM. Deve Gowda will put condition for DKS as CM as he belongs to Vokkaliga Community. Sidhu prefers Parameshwar over DKS and will try hard. Let us wait and see if DeveGowda keeps his promise or Kumarswamy Joins hands with BJP like he did in the past.
If BJP joins with JDS, Amitshah might make Ananth Hegde CM sidelining Yeddyurappa. Let us see what Karnataka Voters have decided.

Very sensible comment from former Prime Minister of India comparing to BJP Chief Minister candidate Yeddyurappa.
Only Mr. Deve Gowda can save the secularism of state if hung assembly real.

2014 , He said he will commit suicide or leave the country . Some such statement he made.He is still alive and in India , will keep on entertaining us with wise gospels. Anyway this time he can talk of leaving the country with more courage as his son and grandson are in Singapore to make arrangements to transfer 100a of crores collected by selling the B form. Otherwise what was the hurry to fly to Singapore before results. Was worried that IT people may raid seize all those illegal collection
