Mangaluru: Elections done, T R Suresh back as city police commissioner

Mangaluru, Jun 9: IPS officer T R Suresh has been transferred back to Mangaluru as the city police commissioner.

The official order in this regard was issued on Friday June 8.

The order comes close on the heels of the transfer of Vipul Kumar, who served as police commissioner of Mangaluru city during the assembly elections during May.

T R Suresh had taken charge as commissioner of Mangaluru city in June 2017. On April 16 this year, he was transferred as per the directions of the Election Commisson.

As the election process is over and the new government has taken charge, police officials have been transferred back to the posts they held prior to the elections.

    It was almost certain that you would be back. Your successor did not even occupy your bungalow but occupied The Police Guest House which seemed a clear indication that you would be back.
