Mangaluru: Man, woman end lives in separate incidents at Nagori, Bikarnakatte

Mangaluru, Jun 27: In two separate incidents, two persons ended their lives in the city on Wednesday, June 27.

In the first incident, a 60-year-old man, residing behind Garodi temple, committed suicide by hanging at Nagori at his tailoring shop on the wee hours of Wednesday.

Vishwanath Tailor has been identified as the deceased.

It is learnt that Vishwanath had to repay huge loans taken from banks. It is said that Vishwanath met one of friend in the early hours of Wednesday and asked a loan of Rs 4,000 to pay an installment of one of his bank loans. His friend managed to give only Rs 2,000. After taking the amount from his friend, it is said that Vishwanath went to his tailoring shop and hanged himself.


Yashwanth and Sumathi

Vishwanath is survived by his wife and two sons.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a 35-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her house at Sowjanya lane, Padau village, Bikarnakatte here on Wednesday, June 27.

The deceased has been identified as Sumathi. She is survived by her husband Yashwanth and 4-year-old daughter Avani.

According to sources, it is alleged that Yashwanth had an illicit affair with another woman and used to harass Sumathi.

The body has been shifted to Wenlock hospital morgue. A complaint was registered by Kankanady town police.

    It is unfortunate to hear persons end their lives. Many organizations are there to protect cows, religious beliefs, Old culture, and many more. Why these useless organization come forward and help the people, who are in need.

    Banks only do the lone recovery with commen people ,high profile people take lone and they don't pay it back and run from the country and get settled in other countries. 3 check bounce the recovery people start to call and put pressure on that person to pay the emi + check bounce charges + interest . Roles in India are only for commen and poor people who work hard for their living and their fly.

    Yes dear Christine. She must have committed suicide by the lack of support. Some of the husbands throw some money on wife and dump her with innumerable responsibilities.. And the wife to fulfil his desires when he needs.

    All wives/ladies are not just behind money. They too expect love, care, sympathy, concern, adjustments, understanding, ear to listen, sharing, seeks trust etc etc.

    She ended her life. Now the issue of small baby. May god bless that baby

    Depression - is one sickness - the person committing suicide never thinks of the consequences. I have seen two close friends doing this, one leaving a one week old baby and walking straight into the Creek in Dubai and the second in Trivandrum - after meeting her friends, parents - she came smiling, went into her room and hung herself to a ceiling fan. Very very difficult to explain this phenomenon; only an expert can shed some light.

    It must take a lot of courage to give up on life. This is humankinds most sought after gift and in a rational frame of mind we all know it is impossible to comprehend throwing ones own life away.
    It is only when ones mind is incapable of dealing with the challenges facing it that death will appear to be the only option. We can opnly hope there was someone who may have helped them see some hope in what they perceived to be a hopeless situation.

    where we have taken the subject... ayyo.... depends yaar.
    Few cases, women will not be found fulfilling her husband's expectation or desires... then they may go for alternate. Some cases... as some one mentioned Lust of getting more or different satisfaction , men may go for... some case, other women herself provoke men to her trap , either for benefitting monetarily or physically.... also now a days extra marital relations has become an style or show off...
    so, can just conclude anything... investigation may bring out the truth.
    On first case.. never go for any loan beyond your payback capability. or else it's tough to come out of that... and only suicide will be an end.

    She did not see the future of the child.She would have came out from family life and lived with hr baby.

    Poor lady might not got support from her friends, neighbours or family members.

    Lost is lost for ever. Poor baby will suffer life long. That too girl child.

    Let God Almighty protect this baby in her life. Mother Mary be a mother for this baby. Do not abandon her.Carry her always in your hands.

    I agree with your comment Anil. John always abuse ladies. If he had shown proper love to his wife/friend, adjusted, understood with her, definitely she too would have been given back what she got. He only expects from his wife. Very selfish. These men only go behind the lust.

    Mostly men go out to work out of the village/ state/abroad. Some take their spouses others leave them back to look after their houses, families etc etc. If a lady commits sin, her neighbourhood, whole village her in laws spy upon her, how much she eats, what she eats, where she goes etc etc. Who is there to spy upon her husband??
    Sumathis husband cheated her in from of her eyes and made her to commit suicide.

    Rest in peace dear sumathi. May the truth behind your act, irritate the person who caused you to commit this.

    John edelweiss Japan,mangalore,you are saying like Trump what he said to Hillary clinton during their election time .because you cant satisfy your husband he goes to someone ,It is simply not true,Men follow their instinct of lust.From wife they expect,food ,childrens care clean home,and money whatever they have so that go out and spend to lover.Not all men are so.Here this man had taken a big lohn ,God knows how he would return.At last couldnt meet threecorner relationship and pay back lohn,didnt think of wife children,and hanged.what would poor wife do ?She too didnt think of child left alone and suecide.Poor children .no parents ,no future.One should always think when gets married and have children,dont do suecide ,ask some ones advice when you are in trouble.Pray these children may get a home get love and care.
