Bengaluru, Jun 29: While Union minister for Skill development Ananth Kumar Hegde compares Modi to a ‘tiger’, veteran Congress leader Veerappa Moily says “the tiger has gone wild and needs to go back to the forest.”
Hegde had sparked a controversy on June 28, comparing opposition parties to animals, who have joined to fight the ‘tiger’ referring to Modi.
"For the coming Lok Sabha election, several parties like Congress, Samajwadi, JD(S), BSP, and RJD have come together and formed an alliance with the single aim of taking on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Crows, foxes, monkeys, wolves etc have joined hands to fight the tiger. It is for you to decide whether tiger should win or some other lesser animals like hyena, in the 2019 Lok Sabha election," said Hegde while he addressed party workers in Karwar on Thursday.

However, Moily decided to give Hegde a befitting reply hitting him back with his own comparison. “The tiger (referring to Modi) has gone wild and needs to go back to the forest,” he said.
This is not the first time Hegde has stirred controversy with animal comparisons. He was criticized when he equated Dalits to dogs in January. He had also said that the constitution will be changed, which caused a nationwide uproar.
On June 28, he also made a statement that if BJP would have ruled for 70 years instead of Congress, then all would have been sitting on silver chairs instead of plastic.
In April, even Amit Shah in his speech had said ‘Modi wave is uniting cards, dogs, snakes and rats,’
