Patiala, Sep 29: Saif Ali Khan on Sunday September 28 night found himself in trouble after a tiff with photo journalists here during the shoot of a film, leading to the registration of a case against him by the police on charges of threatening to kill and assault.

Some photo journalists were trying to click photographs of Saif at the railway station where the shooting of an unnamed picture was on.

The two photo journalists--one belonging to a newspaper and the other to local TV news channel--were trying to take shots of the shooting of the movie when Saif objected to this.

The security staff of Saif allegedly reacted and took away the cameras of the photo journalists.The actor lodged a complaint against them with the railway police station here. Several mediapersons assembled on the Mall Road and demanded action against Saif.

Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who is in town for a function, sent his political colleagues Prem Singh Chandumajra of Shiromani Akali Dal and Raj Khurana of BJP to pacify the journalists. The journalists later withdrew their protest. Later, both the journalists lodged a complaint against Saif and his security guards on the charge of manhandling them.

Railway police registered a case against Saif under sections 506 (threatening to kill), 341 (assaulting), 536 (cause of damage) of IPC, said IG, GRP, G S Grewal.

Investigations were on in connection with the complaint of the photographers, police said.
