Mumbai, Oct 21: Veteran journalist and litterateur Mohammed Baddur inaugurated a children’s camp on Sunday October 19, at Surabhi Hotel hall, Mira Road (East), organized by the local branch of ‘Chinnara Bimba’.
Speaking on the occasion, Baddur said that Tuluvas embodied the distinct Tulunadu culture. He called the Tuluvas peace-loving and humanitarians. Baddur said that Tulu has all attributes to find a place in the constitution and the language would prosper if Tuluva families speak their mother tongue widely.
Chinnara Bimba founder trustee Prakash B Bhandary honoured the resource persons of the camp with flower bouquets. Baddur and Y T Shetty trained the children. Bunts Forum Mira Road president Shivaram Shetty was the chief guest at the function.
Abdul Rehman Subbayyakatte, editor of the journal ‘Kannada Kairali’, was the specially invited guest on the occasion. Karnoor Mohan Rai welcomed the gathering and compered the programme while Arun S Rai proposed the vote of thanks.
