Mumbai, Oct 23: Shankar K Suvarna, Billava Association managing committee member, veteran social worker, active Congress (I) party activist and close aid of former state home minister Kripa Shankar Singh, was appointed as Special Executive Officer (SEO) by Maharastra state government. 

He was appointed as special executive officer for the fifth year in succession since 1982.
 
Shankar K Suvarna is serving as vice president of North – West district Congress (I) Committee, member of Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana and president of Sri Shanishwar Seva Samiti, Khar.  He hails from Kudroli, in Mangalore.
