Congratulations to all DCCW members. There are many members who work day and night without any reward and recognition but behind the screen. Women are the strong force which no one should deny. But unfortunately they are still oppressed and exploited either by their own spouse, family members or by the society. Their sacrifice should be appreciated. Wishing all the best for DCCW. Good job.

I would suggest that during the future women conventions men should be invited to listen to the difficulties faced by the majority of women in India. Atleast some men may agree to change and cooperate.

It looks like this conention being an annual feature has evoked lukeworm response from the readers. Hardly any comments at least so far..( or may be I saw this write up early?). This may be the situation of our women in society. They are taken for granted...!They are the ones who slog in the families and other spheres. They build the families, missions and the church. In a patriarchal society all of us need conscientization. I wish this movement will help women and men to think critically about the role of women in family, church and society at large. Change is possible if there is an emergence of new thinking and action plan. Drama needs to be actualized in the family context, vado, parish and society at large. May be they need to break their silence and play more active role in society. Is it good to invite some men for this convention so that they are also sensitized with the issues of women.
