Mangaluru: Jagruthi Swachh Bharath team at Bertrand School

Mangaluru, Nov 19: Jagruthi Swachh Bharath team of Swachh Surathkal Abhiyana had organized interactive sesson on waste management on November 3 for VIII and IX std students at Bertrand Russell English medium high school.

The chief guests were Sachidanad coodinator for Swachh Manas programme, Satish Sadanand coordinator for Shramadan of Swachh Surathkal Abhiyana, Dr Raj Mohan Rao, convenor of Nagrika Salaha Samithi and Swachh Surathkal Abhiyana, Srinivas Rao, past president, Rotary Club, Malathi Sachidanand, past president, Inner Wheel Club Surathkal, Usha Gururaj, past secretary, Inner Wheel Club Surathkal, Suvarnalatha, past president, Inner Wheel Club Surathkal, Prof P Krishnamoorthy, vice-principal, Govindas College, Sujaya Shetty, active social worker, and P Purushothana Rao, past president, Rotary Club.



The team conducted a group discussion on how to keep the surrounding clean at home, at school, at neighbourhood, at public places and also as a student how to influence this to maintain cleanliness in public places. They gave the students few activities concerning swacchatha which they have to make a record of all of them.

Satish Sadanand explained on how to segregate dry wastes and wet wastes. And how to maintain cleanliness in the house and neighbourhood places. President Aboobhakar, correspondent Nisha lakshman, principal Vatsala, and administrative officer Geetha were present. Teaching and non-teaching staff were also present. The students thanked the Swachh Bharath team for their motivation and dedication in conducting the interactive session.
