UAE: USWAS Elects Vincent Corda as President.

Dubi, Nov 30: Vincent Corda, an active Shirva Parishioner, residing in Dubai, elected as the president of
USWAS (U.A.E’s St. Mary’s Welfare Association, Shirva). He is founder member of USWAS and URBEVONT SHIRVAGAAR (Active Shirvaite of USWAS). USWAS came into existence at the end of December, 2002 and has successfully completed 6 years.
In a recently held meeting at Shezan Restaurant in Karama, Dubai, the committee members of USWAS were gathered to elect the new managing committee for the year 2009. Earlier the expansion of the committee had taken place at a previously held meeting.

The meeting started at 8.00 pm with the prayer from senior member of USWAS Paul Menezes. President Canute Mathias welcomed all the committee members. After the election the outgoing Office Bearers thanked all the committee members and the members of USWAS for their cooperation and requested all to work together for better unity and to strengthen the Association. Newly elected president Vincent Corda requested all the Committee members for their full cooperation and assured to do his level best for the unity and to continue the good work.
To celebrate its 6th years existence, USWAS (Shirva) will celebrate “SHIRVA FEST-2009” in the year 2009 during February. It is an annual event of the association and will be open to all. More details will be followed soon.
Election for the new working committee was conducted later and the following office bearers were elected.
