Belagavi: Volvo bus falls by its side - 20 passengers injured

Belagavi, Dec 22: A private Volvo bus which began its journey from Bengaluru lost its balance and fell by it side at Dastikoppa in Kittur taluk in the district on Saturday December 22 morning. Out of 34 passengers the bus was carrying, over 20 were injured.

The accident happened on national highway 4. The bus in question was moving to Rajasthan from Bengaluru. When negotiating a road bend at Dastikoppa, the bus went out of the driver's control, causing the said accident.

As a result, over 20 passengers suffered serious injuries. Ambulance was summoned immediately. Over five ambulances reached the spot within sometime, and the injured were sent to hospitals through them. Currently all the passengers seem to have escaped from danger to their lives.

Police personnel of M K Hubballi sub police station visited the spot and conducted checks.
