Mangaluru: Mr and Miss Tharam crowned in glittering grand finale

Mangaluru, Dec 24: Pammy Prakash Kateel was crowned as Miss Face and Ravikanth Poojary emerged winner of Mr Face of Tharam 2018–19 in a grand finale held at Adyar Hill Top here on December 22. The contest was organised by Tharam enterprises led by Geeth Bangera.

Greeshma Raj and Lavanya Padichetira were the first and second runners up of Miss Face of Tharam, while Nikhil Shetty and Mohammed Saleem were awarded first and second runner up of Mr Face of Tharam.



Principal of Sri Devi Institute of Fashion Technology, Kasturi J Shetty along with other dignitaries inaugurated the grand finale of Mr and Miss Face of Tharam 2018-19. Artist Shabari Ganiga, Prabhath Corporation proprietor Dr Vikram Rao, actress Sheethal Nayak, manager My Gym Joshwa Bangera, designer Manthra Jeevan Gatty, fashion designer Yagnesh Ullal, model and fashion designer Prathiksha Jaiwanth, model and actor Chirag D Kundapur, owner of Adya Hill Top Suresh Shetty and Ajith Prasad were among the chief guests.

Singer and model Shefali Saldanha, Ashwin, Shubam Kulal performed during the event. Principal of Sri Devi Institute of Fashion technology, Kasturi J Shetty, proprietor of Sizzling Guys dance studio Shubha Kiran Mani and Coastalwood, Sandalwood actor Sanam G Amin were among the jury members.

A total of 20 contestants consisting 10 girls and 10 boys took part in this fashion show. Five finalists each were selected for the final round. Mr and Miss Face of Tharam event was a four day event which was started on December 19 and concluded in a grand finale on December 22.

The contestants had to undergo interview round which was conducted by Dr Vikram Rao and Chirag D Kundapur. Zumba and yoga session was conducted by team My Gym, personality development session by Dr Vikram Rao, Ad shoot for Tharam Magazine, martial art session by Joshwa Bangera, self-defence session by Karate black belt holder Freeda Aranha, talent round which was judged by Freeda Aranha and Dr Vikram Rao. Self-makeover session by Bob Uday from Bengaluru, stress interview was taken by Chirag D Kundapur, Geeth Bangera and Vikram Rao.

Two rounds were conducted for contestants that are traditional round and western round. Question and answer round was conducted for five finalists. Awesome Parlour Udupi and Besant was the makeover partner, suit and gown for western round was designed by Sonu fashion designer from Bengaluru.

Shiva compered the grand finale event.
