Bengaluru, Dec 25: Anekal block Congress president, K Rajanna, warned that unless former minister and MLA, Ramalinga Reddy, is included in the state cabinet, several office bearers of Congress party will resign. Insisting that Congress leaders have meted out injustice to Reddy, he demanded that the seasoned leader should be given the position of minister that he richly deserves.

Rajanna was addressing people who had gathered to stage road blockade on national highway 7 near Hennagara Gate here on Monday December 24 to register protest against non-inclusion of Ramalinga Reddy in the ministry. "For nearly four decades, Reddy dedicated his life for building Congress party from grass root level. He has become popular because of his clean image, sincerity and honesty. He has ably managed several departments in the capacity of minister and has provided efficient administration," he hailed.

Party's senior leader, K R Ramesh, hailed Ramalinga Reddy for ensuring that Congress rose to power in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike by convincing H D Deve Gowda to support his party when he was the urban development minister.

Several party leaders who spoke on the occasion, demanded the party high command to make Reddy a minister. Leaders like Ramoji Gowda, Manohar, Hennagara Babureddy, R K Keshava Reddy and Purushotham Reddy raised slogans against top leaders of the party for the step-motherly treatment meted out to their leader.
