Bengaluru, Dec 27: Former chief minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah on Thursday lashed out at the opposition leaders for trying to create rift between his party leaders.

Taking to Twitter, Siddaramaiah said that for the last five years as a chief minister he has experienced such attempts by opposition party leaders to create rift between G Parameshwara and him. "Such attempts are even continuing today. But they won't be successful. We read such reports and laugh it off," he said.

"I know Ramesh Jarkiholi and his entire family. Ramesh is a Congressman and he will not leave the party. The attempts of the BJP to poach our leaders also will not be successful," he added.

There were reports that heated words were exchanged between Siddaramaiah, leader of the Congress legislative party and DCM Dr Parameshwara with regards portfolio distribution.

It is learnt that even K C Venugopal, state in-charge was taken aback for a moment by the sharpness of the words used by Dr Parameshwara towards Siddaramaiah.

For the last few days, the Congress is facing lot of embarrassment from some of the party leaders including Ramesh Jarkiholi who was dropped from the cabinet after high command gave green signal for cabinet expansion. His brother Sathish Jarkiholi has been given ministerial berth.

Siddu is paying for his sins for leaving the JDS and joining Cong only to become the CM. Now he is reduced to being a peon of HDK and HDD.

Siddaramaiah is a scale host for Congress JDS theory to share power jointly. Deve Gowda's master plan to corner his old rival succeeded. Actually Siddaramaiah us more competent able person to become CM but his opportunity was snatched by Gowda family...by assuring support to Raga to become PM in 2019.Agsin fact is that Raga will not become PM and never.
